Re: OIl fill tubes

My M-37 has a Chrysler industrial engine 230 which I installed in it...everybody said that the tube should be pressed in, but it's bolted in. We may never know!

I'd like to get 8 of the brass bushings for exhaust manifold installation if anybody here has any, and sees something that I have that they would like to trade for

Re: Craigslist M37 Stuff Pacific North West

Wittenberg Motors used to do a lot fire trucks, water trucks and other trucks for the logging industry back in the day. Lord knows I bought a lot of parts from them for my M-37. They had a similar front clip for deuces and five tons but I never saw one on a M-37 down at their place. They also didn'...

Re: 230/251 Exhaust Manifold

T, I don't have a 251 manifold in my hands, but from all the pics I've seen of them it should be easy to identify compared to the 230 manifold. On the 230 the exhaust dumps out just past the last port. On the 251 the exhaust dumps out between the last two ports...........if that makes any sense. re...

230/251 Exhaust Manifold

I have a quick question: Are the exhaust manifolds on the Dodge 230 and the Dodge 251 the same , or is the 251 manifold slightly longer? I know that the 251 engine block is 2" longer, so this is why I ask. I have a manifold, unsure which engine it's off of, and my truck is in storage so I can't...

This^^ most likely

My block was cracked, but that was due to someone using bolts too long to replace the water pump.

Re: Engine ID help

I have personally seen a trailer mounted pump unit which had this exact engine...so anything is possible!

Is it possible that it was re-built at the depot, then the army installed it in the truck because it was the same engine?

Re: New guy new truck pics

Thanks. I there are one or two cargo box end curtains, but not the big canvas cover. Also came with a new seat cover and a heater(or part of one) that looks NOS. There is a box of other parts, but not sure what they are. -wwiifirearms Would it be possible for you to measure the bottom on the cargo ...

As the others have said...nice score man! You're starting with a hell of a lot more than some of us did!
It fits inside too, major bonus!

Is that a cargo box canvas end curtain I spy in the bed?
