Rather than pile on a previous posting, I'll post these here in case anyone is looking for bits and pieces, project trucks or nice restored units. Not mine, just staying indoors while the recent snow melts.

And one from my neighbour on Vancouver Island. This is a US M37 that was donor for a resto mod on a Dodge chassis. The frame and running gear is in very good, rust free condition and he has a lot of small parts. The front axle was totally rebuilt by the previous owner who also purchased a lot of other replacement parts like the wiring harness. All Dean for more info.

Ha Ha, I knew you'd like that one... Somebody else can chime in with the company that did a bunch of conversions using that front clip. I want to say Wittenburg, but that may not be correct. A bunch of M37s had a Hercules diesel and that front clip done by that company and were sent elsewhere. They show up now and again, but beauty is in the eye of the beholder..

Wittenberg Motors used to do a lot fire trucks, water trucks and other trucks for the logging industry back in the day. Lord knows I bought a lot of parts from them for my M-37.
They had a similar front clip for deuces and five tons but I never saw one on a M-37 down at their place. They also didn't do the engine swaps, as far as I know.
Weyhauser used to add a couple of leaves to the rear springs of the M-37's they had, but that was the only modification by them that I know of (a standard type mod, anyway).
Weird looking truck, though.

I saw pictures of a couple of those deuces you mentioned on SS awhile back. Very weird looking even on those!
Wish those winches were closer

Yeah, and I wish a lot of the events and parts I see for sale on the east coast were out here.
