carburetor problems

Post by sarsmassi »

I recently put a stock carter carb on my m37 rebuilt it. Fuel goes in float fills up to spec. But once the top is back on and drain is removed the fuel never comes out its stuck. Any ideas?

Well for anyone reading this I figured one of the parts in the rebuild kit wasnt the exactly the same as stock. So I just swaped out the accelerator pump the clip for the float valve and the float needle with the old ones. And one of those fixed it.

That's what I like about the older vehicles, they are simple to tinker with. I'm glad that you figured out your problem.

Thanks for the info. I did notice a few things were different when I rebuilt it. I figured I was fine since I got it from vintage power wagon...... Guess not.

Well if you get it back and it is lacking power and dying out on acceleration chances are you have the same problem. I would recommend asking them to save your old parts so your not totally lost.
