I totally disagree. Diesel's are cool in larger trucks. The weight of a diesel sucks, todays fuel prices plus the conversion and MAIN-TANANCE. The 37 was ment to be light on its feet. I would suggest a 4.3 gas v6 if you could waterproof it.Who here really puts 100K miles on a m37 to justify having a...

I wasn't talking about your 3/4. My reply was directed at the title of topic and the one person that call your truck a "jeep". The Mutt, Military utility tactical truck, or M151 is probably the biggest wrongly labeled " jeep" when its really a Ford. Please dont remind me of the t...

I trailer my m715 ALL the time with a 1/2 ton chevy. Also the m37 when I got it , 220 mile trip. I average 65 on the highway no problems. Just be critical with the tongue weight, no more than 15% and remember speed is not your issue its BRAKING hense 3/4 ton is better. I had the skid issue flat trai...

LMAO,Civilian here . My point was humility. I ripped on another post about the "book", and I wasn't listening. Once again the correct paint CANNOT be dupicated with todays paints . Lesson learned. I hope it helps someone else, wanting correct color. My truck is a 51, Korea, not Vietnam. Bu...

So I went to the local paint store with the olive drab codes 24087 ect. They mixed up some that was not even close! repeat.PPG and Dupont codes were 10 bars off on the dark side. Lucky I brought my Data plate., they had a machine that took a picture , on the back side, and matched it perfectly. I wa...

Bed bolts.

Anyone have a source? I'm talking about the oversized roundhead bolts located front and rear.Mine are not savagable pitted on top and threads are gone. I'm very close to a bed swap and would like them on hand when the torch comes out.

Thanks Barry

I would suggest vintage powerwagons on the hinges. I believe them to be 25. each you will need 4. Go with tom here on the stake pocket metal and wheel well support. Wood from home depot unless you have a local mill. Your lookin at 300 easy. I recently did this. It is one of the most important fixes ...

I was joking about summer! I dont think you could fix or replace a "10" cab for 4.And that is what it is. I wish I had found this cab after my 20 hrs on mine alone. Still aint as good! Once again I'll be watching a cool progress in work.
