Fuel sender float cracked
My fuel gauge is showing E again (with 3/4 tank), and I'm guessing it's the same problem I had a while back: a cracked fuel float. I emptied the float before, dried it out, then repaired the cracks with epoxy. I was too chicken to solder it, I didn't want the vapors exploding on me! Can it be repaired again (differently this time)? Or do I need a new one, and anybody know where to find just the float?

I'm sure your float could be repaired again. To do it right you would have to get rid of all the old eopxy you applied to it, completely drain it, and allow it to sit in a well-ventilated area long enough for all fumes to dissipate before resoldering the cracks. Replacing it would be much, much easier if you can find a new float, but I haven't a clue where you might find one.
You could rig a temporary replacement while searching for a new loat. A big cork would do the job. Many early floats were cork. They would eventually absorb enough gas that they'd get heavy enough to sink, gut that took a few years.
Another option would be to make your own replacement metal float if you're handy with tools and up to the challenge.
