FYI, there is a message posting which appears on the G503 site that indicates that Bruce Kalin, the fellow here in NJ who founded the east coast convoy has passed away.

A true friend who will be greatly missed.... I have many found memories of talking MV's with him on the phone and in person, organizing the ECC with him, and chowing down at various resturants and cookouts...
I will never forget his expression the first time we met, and I took him on a thirty mile ride down I40 from a hotel where he was taking a class to get to the resturant where we were having a NCMVPA meeting so that he could get an OD fix... Keep in mind that I was running 75mph to keep up with traffic and it was raining...and we were in the USMC Cummins M37...
We'll be doing something in his honor during the Convoy next year, in addition to dedicating it to his memory...
