East Coast Convoy Founder

Post by BigEddieM37 »

FYI, there is a message posting which appears on the G503 site that indicates that Bruce Kalin, the fellow here in NJ who founded the east coast convoy has passed away.

A true friend who will be greatly missed.... I have many found memories of talking MV's with him on the phone and in person, organizing the ECC with him, and chowing down at various resturants and cookouts...

I will never forget his expression the first time we met, and I took him on a thirty mile ride down I40 from a hotel where he was taking a class to get to the resturant where we were having a NCMVPA meeting so that he could get an OD fix... Keep in mind that I was running 75mph to keep up with traffic and it was raining...and we were in the USMC Cummins M37... :)

We'll be doing something in his honor during the Convoy next year, in addition to dedicating it to his memory...
