Hey guys are the standard tires that came on the M37’s suitable for ice and snow. The 9.00x16 with military tread. I have never driven my truck in the winter up here in MN but to me the tread does not look to favorable for slick roads.

They do OK after you slide off into the ditch.

Exactly what i was thinking.
Re: Need new tires very soon
You're in for some excitement if you drive the NDTs in snow, and especially on ice.
If you're running stock rims, the STA Superlug Mud & Snow 9.00x16 seems to be the default choice for non-NDT tires, at least for ones that are currently available. I bought a set to put on my spare rims, seeing as how we get around 140" of snow each winter.

Re: Need new tires very soon
A big issue now seams to be finding a shop that will mount them. Split rims seam to be a taboo with most places
Re: Need new tires very soon
I have since found out I may be calling the rims the wrong thing. I have been corrected. I guess the right term is split rings.
Re: Need new tires very soon
The correct term is Goodyear Safety Lock Ring wheel.

Re: Need new tires very soon
NDTs are fine in the snow only if you're running chains.
