Back On Line

Post by Lifer »

Greetings, gang! I finally got my computer hooked up and running on a wireless link with my daughter's computer. It's on dial-up access, so it's a lot slower than I'm used to, but I guess it'll have to do until I can find a house with cable access. For those who didn't already know, I'm no longer in Illinois. I'm currently in Lavonia, GA, and enjoying the nice weather. It's about 38 degrees and threatening to rain right now, but it bets the heck out of the 2 below and freezing rain that they're getting back in Illinois this morning. I can get used to this! :D

Welcome back!! Thought maybe your car overheated heading south. I think I would be glad to leave Illinois also, for more than 1 reason.

David;

You need to get one of those little propane powered heaters. I have a small one that I bought from Home depot. The thing is like a little rocket engine. Puts out 40K BTU. It will heat my garage to a comfortable level within about 15 minutes. I too was working out in the garage today(drilled the firewall to install heater hoses). I didn't want to work with numb fingers, so I closed the garage door and fired up the rocket engine. It was between 28 and 30 deg out. I had it fairly comfortable in there in no time. Actually wound up taking my coat off. They are well worth the money, and if you already have a propane grill, there is your source of fuel.

Did you happen to hear the dear sweet words the governor shared in this mornings interview on Good Morning America? In his words he's really getting a raw deal.
