Re: R2 crash truck
Got the brakes worked out. I'm a bone head. Shocks installed. Prepping new fuel tank. 35 gallon one. Vintage contacted me back. Left with questions on that. Looking for Ford Zf 5 speed. Like finding the city of Atlantis around here.

Re: Helitool front disc brakes
Fixed the problem. I got the 2WD calipers. Sent back for 4X4 calipers. These fit. I got the c and not k GMC calipers. Assumed (there's that word) The 2500 were 4WD. In the 80's they were C/K and could be either or. Now back to progress on project Mohawk.

Re: 4BT swap info please
Looking for a ford zf. All though the nv that was in some bread trucks or from the 5.9's in dodges could work. Finding one locally is a challenge.

Re: Helitool front disc brakes
Yes checked twice. It's in the position so the lower bolt has to squeak by the tie rod nut.

Helitool front disc brakes
Have the disc conversion for front and rear. Rear was a snap. Front the calipers do not fit. As per instructions from a 78 gm 3/4 4x4. The point where the brake line goes in hits the knuckle. Has any one else put one in and encountered this problem? Waiting for helitool to get back to me as well. Fi...

Re: replacement shocks
Found out hard way stock is no good. But Vintage powerwagons took them back. R2 did not use M37 shocks. Did find Monroe 65102 does the trick. 19 compressed 27.5 extended. The post on the R2 are unloaded at 23 inches apart.

Re: R2 crash truck
The unit is in and their a 5 hour drive away. In contact with them now. They did take the shocks back. Research lead to m-37 shocks do not fit an R2. Much larger. This truck is giving me fits. Now the disk brake conversion from helitool doesn't fit the front. Contacted them as well. Hope to have ans...
