Has anyone successfully found a plug for the winch lever hole in the drivers floor? Just doesn't seem right to tack weld a cover..
What have you used, if anything?

Hi John,
I kept my knock-out plug when I converted to a winch model and am hunting it down for RD.
Thanks,
Gary

Re: Winch Hole Plug
I'd just cut out a piece of sheet metal, fit it tightly and tack it in in 4 places to mimic the original punch out.
"It may be ugly, but at least it is slow!"
Re: Winch Hole Plug
Is it a punch out or a plug? I've never seen one.

Re: Winch Hole Plug
I recall mine was a plug with clips around the circumference.
Somebody here with a parts truck should have a spare, if Midwest Military nor VPW have one.

Re: Winch Hole Plug
This is not a historical restore so it's a low priority item. The hole just bugs me.
Eventually I'll find one or figure something out.
