Plate spring clip

Greetings all,

I've been recently active on the Steel Soldiers website, but I thought I'd dip my toe in the dedicated M37 waters. I've been working on my truck which I purchased in high school in 1972.

Does the hook-shaped attachment to the plate spring clip which joins the spring U bolts have any function? I can't seem to find any information in the manuals, though the graphics show the part clearly. I would attach photos, but the file size is too large. Thank you for your help.

Yeah, you have to downsize the photos to get them to post.

Are you talking about those little things that almost looks like someone welded a small open-end wrench on to the thing? I've wondered what those are myself.

Those are for the jack. It has a spud that fits the casting in the spring plate.

Looks like an adapter for the floor jack would be a good winter project!

I agree that those jacks are completely unavailable.
Guys, sometimes you don't need to resize, just crop the image like I did here. C'mon let's get a bit tech savvy, this site needs more pictures!
