Two batteries, one dead cell, still start?
Anyone have information on an M37 24 volt system (two batteries one of them having a dead cell) starting ok?
Re: Two batteries, one dead cell, still start?
No, You will only have 22 volts at best and probably less. You need 24 volts. If it is still starting then you do not have a dead cell, you probably have a weak cell. With modern batteries you can pretty much guarantee that that battery is never going to come back and be a dependable battery. And when you replace it replace both, always replace both as a pair so you have two fresh batteries and that way you will get an equal charge in both.
