I have been considering removing my cab canvas top and framework but, I've never tried it and was wondering how big a pain it is to remove and reinstall. Thought about going topless for parades. Here is present config.

I go from a full vinyl top with a rear window and no zipper, to a bikini top twice a year. It takes about 10 minutes to remove a top, and about 20 to put one on. Those times are probably a bit long actually. I never remove the framework though

Easy.
Follow TM9-8030 to remove canvas. (About 5-10 minutes)
Remove 4 bolts at windshield.
loosen top bow clamps
Remove top bow
Loosen u-bolt nuts behind door posts
Lift out the sideframes
Pull bolts out of slots and store all items where they wont get lost.
Reverse to install.

I have to take my bow that goes across off and my top half off just to get mine in and out of the garage. A pain In the ass sometimes but its worth it.

Thanks for all of the replies. I think as soon as the weather warms, the top will come off. Might just try it for a while, doesn't sound too difficult. Not afraid of the work, just don't want to have to have another person helping, most help I get just gets in the way.

It's an easy job-I do mine by myself whenever I need to remove/install.

It is pretty straight forward, I do it at least twice a year. I use a rubber mallet to bang the top bow off as it sticks. But driving with the window down...priceless....Get goggles
