I live 25 min. south of I-485 south of Charlotte, NC about 3 miles north from SC border. I listed what I want for each piece but make me a reasonable offer on any or all of it. You will need to come get the parts. Parts are used take-offs sold as is unless stated otherwise (SB=sand blasted to bare metal, B=painted black, OD=painted Olive Drab, @=each).

I could sure use the steering box if you could somehow ship it to Arizona.

The steering box has the steering wheel shaft and drag link attached to it and is very bulky and greasy. I don't know any way of wrapping it and sending it via a shipper that would not be terribly expensive. If you had a friend coming thru NC on the way to you maybe you could work out a hand carry?

Put in a garbage bag and then in a box a set of golf clubs came in has worked in the past for me.

Then I just posted my good extra M101 trailer for sale on EBay. It also has M37 disc brake and hydraulic hitch if the winning bid is high enough. SOLD

So I guess you don't want to do anything with the steering gear? (Not much to pick from in the way of parts in this neck of the woods.)

I checked with local Fed Ex and UPS and they said no I would have to do serious disassembly to make smaller and then box and seal it enough to guarantee absolutely no oil/grease leakage. With AML I am very limited in what I can do right now.

Just me, are you looking for just the steering box, or the whole steering assembly? If DAP is unable to ship to you I might be able to help. The only component I don't have that I'm aware of is the worm gear... I sold that separately.

I was wanting a complete usable box. Don't know what will need to be replaced in my existing box, but it is dying. Wanted to be able to keep the truck drivable as much as possible. I have no place that I can just let it sit dead.

I have shipped things via Greyhound. Slow but a little cheaper than the normal carriers. I shipped a 5 speed trans that way. No problems. You might want to give that a try.

Charles at M-Series sent me a complete steering gear w/ shaft a few years back-I don't recall shipping being difficult or expensive (but again, that was a few years ago).
