Vent Drain Tube Q?

Post by knattrass »

In looking to repair some rust holes in the drainage ditch around the center pop up air vent, I noticed a welded drainage tube nipple about 1" long. If I repair the ditch, obvoiusly there needs to be a tube added to drain water. Question is size/length of hose and where does it drain out to?

Mine came straight down off of the nipple and turns 90 degrees and exits through the firewall. I'm not sure on the length as mine dumped the water directly over the rearward most spark plug and started it rusting.

Drain Hose

Post by Longhunter7 »

knattras,

I just installed a couple of feet of heater hose on my M37.

I ran it off to the passenger side to drain away from the engine compartment.

Vent drain

Mine also exits through te firewall and onto the top of the block, os I must get a longer hose. It appears to be nothing more than about 5/8ths heater hose....
