part paint color

color for the fuel pump heat shield?

Originally, black. After engine work, exhaust replacement, or prior to a major inspection, whatever color the motor pool had on hand...OD for Army and Marines, Strata Blue for AF, etc. The first sergeant would have wanted everything to be "pretty" for the inspectors, after all.

Rember that Marines painted things in Forest Green (lusterless or semi-gloss depending), not OD...
