Canvas top dressing?

Post by Wayne64 »

So tomorrow I have to go for a long drive and haul ammo and clay targets. Bad news is rain is expected. What could I coat the top with to get me through the day?

In the past I have brush applied Thompsons Clear Multi-Surface Waterproofer on a orig. GI top with good results, no color change. The down is it has to be re-applied yearly to get the best results but it is available locally so no ordering and waiting for delivery. Just don't get it on the paint as it will alter the semi-gloss finish and make it shine.

Thompsons, Canvek, or Marykate all work good.
Silicon sprays work too but don't last as long.
