Auction at Mamphis Equipment

There is going to be a HUGE auction at Memphis Equipment in Chambersburg PA on October 1st at 8:00. CochranAuctions.com has info. I got a big flyer in the mail today. Even the 18 acre property is going on the block. Loads of stuff from fork trucks to 6X6's. I didn't any M37 stuff listed but I know they have a large inventory of parts for them since I've bought a few things from them over the years. I don't like seeing this place going out of business, I've gotten some decent deals from them and the people were nice and friendly. It seems every thing I enjoy goes away.

Memphis Equipment will still be around, they are not closing their Memphis location. I bet they shipped all the M37 stuff to Memphis.

I also got a flyer from them last week with a partial list of what is being offered, 66+ trucks, 65+ trailers, 58+ truck bodies, 50+ winches, shop and office eguip. the entire 18 acre site with 23,500 sq. ft. of shop and 19,650 sq.ft. of storage space as well as the office bld. with 3850 sq.ft. and more parts than I can list here. Should be quite a show, Ralph and I are planning on going to see what bargains we can pick up. I'll get some pix and post the intresting stuff.
I guess the manager, Mark Sipes retired so I won't be calling him anymore to help me out with parts and answers my questions

Oh well.

Yes, Mark is a real gentleman and great to do business with. I will miss my visits there.

Thry posted a big ad in the last Supply Line as well-too bad, I had more success dealing with the PA site than TN....

Went to the auction website. Photo # 13,15 & 16 show 3 different m-37's. That would sure be an interesting sale to attend, but on the wrong side of the country-as usual

Went to the sale inspection Wednesday the 30th and took some shots of what was being offered and toured the facility and met Max May, president of the company along with Jack Clark of Clark Truck Parts in Poca West Viginia formerly in Charleston. Terry Kivet was also there but to busy checking out the goodies to take time to chat. (I bought my first WC52 from Terry back in 1981 at White Owl in Kinston NC)
There was a lot of 2 1/2 and 5 ton stuff but very little in the way of M37 parts. However they were going to auction a crate of 25 NOS B1 transmission tops and some gen. to reg electrical cables, as well as several M37s shown here and in the album I have posted on Webshots: (48 pictures)

Looks like it will be an intresting sale but I was not able to attend due to previous commitments that kept me at home today and also no money and a wife who is not intrested in seeing me get even more OD colored stuff
