Headache rack Q?

Post by knattrass »

So we got the rack assembled and the 2 piece corner brackets on. When we went to install it, the prior Bubba looks like he cut the mating attachment plates off of the stake racks. You can clearly see the 2 weld marks on the metal stakes but no brackets. These look to be a standard stake truck type of bracket -any ideas of a source to buy 2?

I had a 1965 Ford F500 stake body flat bed that had the same type of brackets used on the M37. You might try your local truck recycle yard and see what's available, it's a pretty standard item used on many make trucks.

Thanks - I just remembered he sold the corners as a unit, so I'll ask him if he sells just the mating plate(s).

Tom is sending just the dog ear brackets which we will flip upside down and wire weld to the stake pocket bracket. We are planning on leaving the rack in place, slide the brackets in, and weld them on the truck to make sure they fit. Thanks for the help!
