Cant say I was too impressed with the show overall, I remember it being much, much better 5 years ago, but, I'm guessing Gas prices have alot to do with that. BUT, that being said, there was some nice hardware there:

Yeah, I agree. Though I skipped the past two years, this year's show wasn't quite what I remember of the ones I've been to over the years. However, I took a newbie to the show up with me and he was quite impressed so that was cool. Despite not finding drain covers for his early M151 floor (after I told him if he can't find it at Iola, it doesn't exist), he still managed to load half my pickup with stuff.

This was also the first year that I went where it was just Saturday and Sunday. Kind of miss that early bird Friday shopping. Since I was only up for one day, I didn't take the time to stop and chat much with the vendors. Next time, I'm going up Friday and slip in with the vendors.

Thanks for posting the photos. I thought that Navy Dodge was a nice piece of work, very sharp for Navy (I'm more of the tactical Army type).

I like the CCKW with the wood bed don't see any like that.

The 1/2 ton carryall in navy gray looks strange to me. I understand from another website that the vehicle is restored correctly that it was in Navy service, but it just looks weird... :)

I enjoyed the show overall, and it was great to meet up with old friends from Ohio, and meet the vendors whose parts and advice are part of my truck. I think the show need to really sell the idea to the public. Drawing in crowds from the surriounding area. But, at least there is a show, and my hats off to the organizers and volunteers.
