SAE hand book 1950

Post by robi »

I just picked up a pristine copy of the SAE handbook, 1950. It is loaded with good info. Dimensions, specs, standards. etc. All relevant to the early period of our trucks.

It is a great addition to my reference library.

The book is put together by the Society Of Automotive Engineers Standards Committee.

Here is a partial list of the contents;
Flywheel and clutch housings
Engine mountings
Piston rings and grooves
fuel pump mounting
Starter motor mounting
Spark plugs
Magneto mounting
Carbureter intakes
Suspension leaf springs
etc.

There are over 70 entries just in that section.
