slave cable plug Q

anyone know how to remove the slave cable plug from its metal housing ?

It doesn't come out in any salvagable condition.
The rubber surrounding the contacts was vulcanized in place.

if i cut the broken case off could i slide it into the new case?

There not that expensive. Why not just save the headache and get a new one?

well dad and i got alot of project vehicles near completeion so a few $ makes a big difference at this point, I bought a used mount woth cover from a guy and it has no guts so we figured it comes apart somehow :wink: thanks for the info :D

well cut off the housing , sprayed on some lube and used the shop press with wood blocks to press it in worked fine, after disasembly it looks like you could set it in the press and press it out from the front, my only question now is the 2 pins supposed to be on the same side as the key notch for the slave plug or 180* away?

The 2 pins are on the opposite side of the key notch.
