I'm not aware of anything in a manual that gives board spacing. Here's what I did. You have the small piece of metal that holds the troop seats in the upright position, I used that as guide. I put the top board and that piece of metal so the bend is parallel with the board in the stored position. Then the other two boards center the bolts. Just try to make your spacing between the board equal.
