So I receive a really cool catalog in the mail from "Military Issue" packed full of Models, art and collectables from WWI through today. Inside is a wide range of stuff with such eclectic items as:
"Kaiser Wilhelm" staff car and figure, a heart touching 1/30th SS Gestapo arrest diorama complete with with two Nazi thugs and a "roughed up" suspect (very tacky I think), off the wall, lesser known vehicles and models like the Semovente 75/18 tank, Sturmpanzer IV, a Fallsschirmjaeger figure with supply canister. Every Nazi vehicle ever devised in the WWII section. Even a Raupenschelepper cargo truck.
As I got the the Allied items there was finally a WC51 and 57, a DUKW, M7, M2A1 105mm. Surley as I got to the Korea or Vietnam section a M37 would appear....not!
I simply don't understand why our truck is ignored by even the most diverse model kit manufacturers?

I don't, either! I've tried contacting a couple of the older US model makers about providing one for us. AMT/ERTL has opted to continue making their excellent die-cast tractor models but to discontinue their equally excellent line of model cars and trucks because "kids just don't build model cars any longer." Revell, Inc. presented my request and photographs to their Research and Development people 2 years ago, but I have heard nothing further from them.
At this point, I'd even settle for a molded plastic kids' toy M37! They do make toy M35s, after all, even though they are seriously lacking in detail.
Hey Lifer why not try one of the new companies that are cranking out lots of miliatary vehicles like Forces of Valor or Dragon . they are putting out new stuff all the time. Dragon has come out with a great line of US Sherman tanks both in kit and built editions in 1/72 scale. Forces of Valor just released a great M26 dragon wagon. Here is a picture with an Itareri 1/72 Sherman I built as a load.
Skybow had a 1/35 M37 listed at one time but it never went into production. Maybe you could try there and see if you could stir up some interest. I think they might have sold out to AFV Club which makes AWESOME M35A1 models!!!!

All this time, nothing ever did happen did it Lifer, one of these days, maybe? Somewhere in Europe, they are/were making an HO scale M-43, but I lost that info w/the purchase of a new cpu!!
I would much prefer a 1:24 scale model. They're easier for old, fumbly fingers to put together. (I think my days of micro-modeling are over with.) Besides, the manufacturer can put more visible detail on a larger model. All the old AMT models in my collection are 1:24 which, incidentally is the same scale as my sister's "half-inch to the foot" doll houses.
AMT is now owned by ERTL, whose chief line is 1:18 scale tractor models. I would love to have a model M37 in that scale! Then I could pit it against a model John Deere B and see which can outpull the other.

I got that same catalod in the mail. I liked the Battle of the Bulge painting. I would like to have that hanging on my wall. Wonder how the wife would like to see it next to our wedding picture...
I have a 1/18 Forces of Valor WC 52 and it is cool and big. It's 10 inches long. They also make a 1/18 WC 62.
Here's a picture of my bunch on the hood of my M. All the Power Wagons are in 1/24. The 1/18 WC52 is much bigger as you can see. THe little wc in front is 1/43 scale. Ya it would be really cool to have a 1/18 M37.
Nice job on the paper M37 !! I have tried that one and never been able to finish it. I guess I am just too much of a plastic model man. But I have seen some really cool Paper models.
It' s not mine I saw it on there web site .Your models are great Dodge military models are hard to find .There was a M37 Model years back I think it was from England.
