Well, taking the old brake master cylinder out, I broke the vent valve off.
Question #1: Is that necessary for proper brake system performance?
Question #2: does anyone happen to have one they'd like to sell, or know of a source for one?
Your wisdom and experience is highly appreciated!!
Have a nice day!

Weatherhead 6820 needle valve is the OEM part.

if you power bleed with a Motive type device, just be sure to turn the valve off, or you will pump the brake fluid out instead of thru the brake lines at the wheels. something I found out once, was messy. hal
