MVPA York PA

Post by Halfdunn »

So, I just returned from the MVPA Convention in York PA with my 1953 USAF R-2 Rescue Truck. I entered it in the MOTOR POOL judging class and received a GOLD award with 99.?? points out of 100. So proud to own such a limited production vehicle as only 308 were made for the USAF. I also had my 1947 Cushman scooter there also.

Nice Job!

Can you show us some interior photos? I've always wondered what's inside the crash trucks. Glad you saved one.

Congratulations Half! Beautiful truck, worthy of the award! Thanks for the photos as well! Did you see any other M37-Series there?

Thanks Gents. Yes, there were numerous great looking M-37's in attendance, many absolutely perfect and some very original.

Thanks for sharing the photos of the interior. That thing is like a rolling tool shed! I also noticed that it has a ton of switches on the dash. Are they for lights?

I now have more appreciation for my simple winchless M37 :D . That crash truck must have been a real adventure to restore.

Truck, crash, forcible entry, emergency...

Quite some data plate, no?
