Wiper arms
Does anyone have a picture of the stock windshield wiper blades? The wiper blades that came with my truck are 11" long. I do not know if they are original or not. I can't seem to find replacmement rubber at the local haunts (NAPA, Wal-Mart). I need new rubber for these wiper blades, but nobody seems to carry just the refills anymore. Seems nowdays everybody just replaces the whole blade, which is a bunch of bull. If someone could post a picture of the stock wiper blades, it would help to determine whether mine are stock or from a Volkswagon! TIA.

Re: Wiper arms
Well, if yours are a refillable type, they aren't stock because stock blades aren't refillable. The stock ones are only 10" long as well. You might better check out your arms before ordering, they may be replacements also thus the stock blade may not fit them. AB & the usuals should have both arms & blades on hand. Our wholesaler offers new stock ones, we don't stock them because seldom do we put stock wipers on a truck these days. I could order them for you, but like I said the usual suppliers probably have them on hand as we all use the same wholesaler.Nickathome wrote:Does anyone have a picture of the stock windshield wiper blades? Wipers
Charles;
Thanks for the info.
Thanks for the info. I kind of thought mine wouldn't be stock. I measured them and they are 11". The blades don't appear to be removeable without some difficulty, but I know I can do it. I was looking at the replacement blades in the stores, but they all come with the arched arm. I may buy a cheap set from Wal-Mart, then remove the rubber, cut it down and fit it to the arm I have, then trash the rest.
I'm not dead set on stock wiper blades, and if I can replace the rubber I will use what I have as they don't look too bad.
Why is it you guys don't use stock wipers? Just curius....
Thanks for the info.

Re: Wipers
We replace most with our electric wiper systems, much heavier than original in every way. The originals are very weak at best, fine for the purist show truck, but from a practical & safety stand point, much better than the original stuff is available.Nickathome wrote:Charles;
