Hi guys,
I am looking for the hot water heater kit for my M37B1, I have already an nice heater under the dashboard on the right side but as I am getting to the latest details of my restoration I like to have the original which mounted on the left front fender.
Recently I've got the arctic kit as well as the fording kit from Midwest military and it's the only kit missing for the comletion of my Project.
More over as I have not install yet the arctic kit, is the passanger's step under the door needs to be shortet and the right panel behind the right front weel needs to be cutoff?? I can't beliave that I need to destroy vehicles parts to add something original on it.
Thanks Theo fro Greece

Re: Looking For HOT WATER HEATER
Theo,
I think there's a knock-out plug on the passenger side, front bottom corner, shaped like a large "upside down" key-hole as I recall. I don't know that the running board needs to be cut in order to fit the kit.
Anyone have the verified facts on Theo's issue?
Gary

Re: Looking For HOT WATER HEATER
I just received my Arctic Engine and Battery Heater Kit form Midwest Military yesterday afternoon (I haven't even opened it yet). I just ordered it to get the hood blanket and side panel blankets.
I believe I have the MWO / TB for the installation of this sub-kit on the manual shelf, but I will not be able to look for it until this weekend. When I find it I will try to post it.
I don't think Theo is going to need this kit in Greece.

Re: Looking For HOT WATER HEATER
My right fender had all the cutouts and holes and the running board is moved back, not cut. The holes are patched since the heater is gone. There are pics on the m37 facebook page. I can't upload pics here. (Phpbb and Android don't work together)

Re: Looking For HOT WATER HEATER
You are very right all are there as you mentioned, I believe it's standard, however the heater it's too big new cuts needs to be done to fit in,

Re: Looking For HOT WATER HEATER
I found the Instruction manual for the Power Plant Heater Kit (TB 9-2855-6) that I said I would look for this weekend. It is 44 pages long with lots of fold-out pages so it is a bit tough to scan and post. If anyone is looking for specific information I'll try to find it in the manual and post those sections.
Let me know.
