Finally scored an LU-4 winch!!

Post by Cal_Gary »

It only took 5 years of available funds and a resonable location to finally get the winch I've sought for so long. I'll be picking it up this weekend-yes, I am as giddy as a kid at Christmas (I'm a big kid, anyway)!!

Yee haa!

That's great Gary, did it include the necessary parts to do a complete install and how much did it cost?

Hi Carter,
I got the complete winch itself with cable and chain, with the side brackets and PTO shaft for $661. No bumperettes nor PTO but the seller is giving me all of the other bits he has that belong with it (I hope the frame extensions and front brackets will be included, as well as the PTO handle and retaining hinge). I will post that info once I pick it all up this Saturday.

I'm happy to burn a tank or two of gas as opposed to having it shipped :D

$661 is a good deal Gary, as you already know. Looking forward to seeing pictures, thanks.

If you find you need the retaining hinge, I have one (new in the box) you can have for the cost of shipping.

Well folks, I picked up the winch on Saturday-it appears to be in good shape. I will be putting together my shopping list for the related bits: frame extensions, bumperettes, etc. I will post the list once it's compiled (might be a little while-my S-10 wouldn't start this morning after making the LA run to get the winch-don't it figure)?
Thanks,
Gary
