Cab Top Help

Post by T. Highway »

I put the soft top on my M37 last night and can't seem to get the front/windshield edge to stay put.
The canvas top has the rope bead in it but I think the rim at the top of the windshield is too wide. Is there another part missing or do I have to crimp down that lip slightly?

Snug

It should be very, very snug? I'd be real careful closing the gap in the windscreen!

The channel in my windshield frame was opened a bit too much and the bead kept popping out at the ends. I used a block of wood and a hammer to close it up a bit until it was snug.

Mine was mashed nearly flat. After opening it back up I bought a 6 foot long, 3/8 steel rod, inserted it all the way from side to side, then re-sized the channel-perfect fit!

I used a "C" clamp and a block of wood last night to close up the gap. I will reinstall the top tonite.
