Antique auto insurance

I was just reading the article on insuring a HMV in the spring issue of MV magazine. Has anyone had any experience with J.C. Taylor or Continental Western. I was thinking of insuring my M37 with either one but I want to be sure they are good companies to deal with. Thanks for any and all input.

The pintle hook assembly on my M-37 does not rotate by hand, is this normal, will it only rotate with the weight of the trailer. The manual states that the 1-1/4" slotted nut is to be tightened just to remove any end play in the pintle adapter, the nut on my truck is so tight that I can not rem...

Tim, TM 9-8030 page 325 paragraph 207.c., reads Drain Plug. The drain plug is a special plug. A 7/8" annular gasket is used with the drain plug. Check the plug and gasket each time the axle is serviced, and replace if necessary. My truck is 57 years old maybe it should be replaced? Lifer, thank...

Speedometer Problem Solved

My problem was when I attached the speedometer cable to the transfercase the flexable shaft had a C-clip to keep the shaft from falling out in shipping, the shaft did not engage in the transfercase drive and the shaft pushed against the C-clip which kept it from turning freely. I also removed the fl...
