Re: battery chargers
One of the best features of the Chargetek 500, is once it is wired in, (very easy to do), it can be permantely mounted. The fact that it's waterproof allows it to be used in our leaky top military vehicles or even completely out in the open. I have mine mounted right on the front of the battery box,...

Re: battery chargers
I've been using a Chargetek 500 for about seven years with great results. It's water proof, 24 volt with two sets of leads for hooking up to two 12 volt batteries, reverse polarity protection, ignition protected, and vibration resistant. It's small, about the size of a half a house brick, and easily...
Re: SA M1A
There is another aspect to be considered about slam fires. When reloading the .308, it is critical that the new primer be seated properly. A high primer WILL cause a slam fire!
That said, it also applies to all semi-auto rifles, but the M-14 / M-1A seem to be more prone to this condition.

Almost Done!
After five and a half years my 63' M37-B1 is almost finished. When done, it will be Marine Corps early Viet Nam. As soon as the paint cures, it will get the hood numbers and the USMC markings.

uzis9mm,
Thanks for the pictures! It appears that the Marines didn't use bridge plates? I haven't seen any pictures yet showing their use.

Bridge Plate?
I am almost done with my frame off restoration on my 63' M37-B1. It is done as Marine Corps, and I have a question regarding the use of bridge plates on Marine trucks.
Did the Marine Corps use the yellow bridge plates and the yellow # 4 on the passenger door in Viet Nam?

Cute Jeep!
Mr. MM,
It happens on this side of the big pond all the time!
It's pointless to try and explain that it is a Dodge Dodge and not a Dodge Jeep, since Dodge now owns Jeep! I think I'm confused now too!

VIN Trouble?
When I titled my M37 here in illinois, they gave me a hard time about the VIN number. They said it was too short a number to be correct! After a long delay with a phone call to the DOT, they finally accepted the number. You may find it to your benefit to register it as a 1962 Dodge pick-up truck! Ke...
