Re: 400 sbc in XM 708

In my 37, I used a Muncie SM465 with my big block chevy. Don't see why that wouldn't work with the small block too. I positioned the engine so that the transmission shifter and the high-low range and 4whd shifters remained in their stock locations. Being lazy, I did the installation without removing...

Super Swamper IROK

I tend to like the tread design on the IROKs for sentimental reasons. They remind me of the old directional Firestone Super All-Tractions I used to run. I'm having trouble deciding between the I-810 (13.5x39.5-16.5) and the I-815 (14x42-16.5). Any thoughts about choice regarding clearance, steering,...

400 sbc in XM 708

My brother is fixing to junk an old Chevrolet pickup that has a freshly overhauled 400 small block in it. I'm kicking around the idea of pulling the 230 out of my 708 and doing a fully reversible installation of the 400. It should be an even easier install than the bbc installation in my 37 was, and...

Re: Ford 351 swap??

He sold the truck without completing the swap.

I would expect a front sump to be an issue. I had to use a rear sump when I put a big block Chevy in my 37.

Re: Transmission...What to do?

I'd use the original M37 transmission by switching to the long civilian pilot shaft.

Straight Shot. Where can I meet up with you tomorrow afternoon?
I will be leaving Austin about noon to 1 pm. Tomorrow afternoon is my only window for picking them up until next January.

Re: Larger tires on rims wanted

I don't want to compete with choppa. If he decides not to get the rims,:then I would still be interested.

Choppa, if you are anywhere along the route from Abilene To Memphis, I could pick the rims up the late afternoon of Friday the 20th and drop them off to you as I pass by your location.

I'm not knockin' propane.
Aviation fuel eats my lunch, and I live in an area where it's still relatively cheap.

Re: m37 Propane conversion

US gallon is smaller than an imperial gallon, but it is still pretty expensive.
