I found this data plate in my glovebox and I was told my truck is a 1952 M-42, it does seem to have the holes etc.. and more antenna mount locations etc.. for the radio in back. But I have been looking at how to register the truck on here and the numbers don't make sense with the lists. I have not looked into this at all and if anyone can explain that I would be grateful.

Register it with the frame # located on the left outside frame rail by the steering box.
The command kit was just an add on after production.

Early trucks usually start with 800- or 8025- serials. 8 digits.

The little tag on the engine side firewall is just a factory number, means nothing.

Oh, now you are in trouble! Those plates are supposed to returned once the truck is no longer used as an M-42.

Kind of like those tags on a mattress, right?

Yeah that's true! I was surprised to find it in there. Now I'm trying to find tubes for my 1100R16 Michelin tires and it's not going well. I may really be in trouble.
