Shifter knob not fitting

I don't think I chose wrong but the shifter knob I bought from Midwest does not fit the shifter. :o

Bought it time ago but I was at the shop checking assorted stuff and saw the shifter over there on the floor and gave it a try. Thread is too small/narrow.
Either the shifter is not original or I got something different from Midwest, which I don't think so.
The shifter I do believe has all the standard dimensions for the 37. I know it got longer over the years but did Dodge change the knob also?

M37's had two shift levers in production, long & short. The long one was a bit cumbersome, someone may have shortened it and re-threaded with something to fit a knob they had. The correct thread is 3/8" SAE fine.

I’ll keep this in mind, Prince. Thanks. Most likely Paco (the “Spanish Bubba”) did something here.

Sebastian,
If you have a problem with a part that you get from me, contact me. Let's figure out what the issue is. If I sent you a part that is not right, I will replace it.

Hi John. Sorry realising late you jumped in.
Like I wrote, it’s not a problem with Midwest. I bought something without checking first. But hey, let’s be honest who’d have thought about fitting issues…?? It’s a knob!!
No worries, I will make a new thread and save it.
Appreciate your help tho.
