wife and I were on a cruise in France several weeks ago, and took a side trip to the Normandy beaches. Walked all of them, and saved a little sand from Omaha. Walked the big cemetery overlooking Omaha, was gratified to see some young French families visiting with their children. Stood in the small pillbox which was so deadly overlooking Omaha. NV

I don't know the "average age" of the people who own and maintain these trucks, or who tend to post on this forum, but I suspect it is over 50, and maybe substantially more. And I also suspect those of us who are in the twilight of our years do tend to have minor or major health issues for ourselves and our spouses. So if you do, all of us wish noting but good things for you in whatever difficulty you and your wife may be enduring. Me, I am OK, just tend to run out of physical energy due to the therapy I am now happily done with for my own prostate CA, thankfully in remission.

Me, I will take the cover off my own truck, and run out the the local recycling center and drop off some used oil and other no longer needed "junk."

My own truck now starts and runs fine, and absolute everything works as designed, or better, lights, switches, winch, everything. Found a few specs of surface rust, so the other day prepped and repainted that. Pretty hot here now, UpState SC, temps 95 or higher. By noon, I am done with outside tasks, and come in for a nap or other sometimes delayed task.

So hope all of you continue to move forward and repair, restore, and use these vintage machines. Hal

I'm a 1953 model. Our M-37 is a 1952 model. It has less miles and is in way better shape than me!!!
