GCI Paint Mixture
I bought a gallon of late WW2 GCI paint and am getting ready to start painting some fenders. What has other people used for thinner and what ratio. I'm planning on using acetone and no hardener.
Re: GCI Paint Mixture
Don’t use acetone. Up to 10% Xylene.
And let them dry for a week. Without hardener things are soft for days. I’m not using hardener either.

Re: GCI Paint Mixture
Thanks for responding. Is there any big difference between xylene and mineral spirits or is xylene just the best for GCI paint?
Re: GCI Paint Mixture
Mineral spirits as a reducer will have your paint turning to chalk in a year or so.
Xylene is the way to go.
