Piston assembly

I removed the pistons and rods from a parts engine and noticed that the oil holes on the big end of the conrods are on the same side as the slots on the pistons, aren't the oil holes supposed to be on the opposite of the piston slots? This engine is an original unrebuilt unit and it just needs new conrod bearings.
Thanks, Bob

I don't know if the bearing oil holes have anything to do with the piston expansion slots, but the oil holes are there to fling oil up into the valves. NV
