What is the electrical wire for? A dash light to indicate that the PTO is engaged?

Looks very similar to the Parker Chelsea 352 series: http://www.chelseaproduct.com/#proBox1

Perhaps this product line was spun off from Dana when they went into bankruptcy, and was picked up by Parker-Hannifin.

I was always under the impression that there were no available PTO's besides the stock unit for the canadian ACME T98.

That is a chelsea 350 series. there are 350, 351 and 352 all in same family. you can still get gears for them to mate up to almost anything. We put one on a T98 a few years ago. the version chelsea still makes is the 352.
For anyone wanting to put a PTO on a T98 you need to call a PTO specialist outfit and give them your data. least expenxive way is to find a 350-352 series used then order the correct drive gears.

acme is just Canadian Borg Warner. same tranny
