Rear Hub Sleeve

I found this old post that mentions the part number for a sleeve for the rear inner spindle seal. Rear Spindle 99281.

What about a sleeve number for the outer surface area where the outer seal rides, anyone have that? Or would that interfere with the bearings slipping onto the spindle?

That seal rides on the outer bearing lock nut, if I'm understanding you.
Don't know of the sleeve number I just replaced the nut from any of the usual suppliers when needed.
I know John at MW had some made.

Agree with Tom-get a new nut. I recall (Charles I think) mentioning that even new nuts aren't always "true" and sometimes need to be surfaced to seal properly.

Ah that makes sense. I need to clean those hub nuts and inspect them. This is the first time I have had any M37 hubs open.

We typically repair and install sleeves on the outer nut flanges. We have had far greater success with this method than using so-called new nuts. They may be new, however the ones I have seen are far from quality pieces that a seal mates with successfully, we never had any luck with these stopping oil from getting into the hub. We machine ours accurately, install a sleeve, then do final machining steps to get a perfect outcome. Have had good results with this. If you have interest, send us some decent core nuts, we can rebuild and return.
