Yes, but what I am saying is that if they are 16.5's then sneak up on them and let the air out. They are a tapered bead and could ride up over the edge of the rim at any time, ESPECIALLY after being on there for 20 years. lower them down to ten lb.s max, they will still hold the truck up but will be much safer. and when time to remove take the valve stems out before doing anything. Now this is all assuming they are the wrong size but I have seen some horrific tire explosions in my years as a first responder, several of which were fatal. The fatal's were all split rim accidents and involved the correct tires but poor working habits. There were several where there were wrong size tires where people were hurt pretty badly. And a few where people were mounting big tires with ether and a match. I was not involved with any fatalities involving that BUT, a good friend of mine was killed doing it. I stopped doing that after his death.
Bottom line, don't assume anything, play it safe.

I'll bet it says "do not mount on 16" wheels" somewhere on the sidewall, also!

If that were mine I would put the jack under the axle but not jack it up until I pulled the valve stem out and let all the air out. That is sort of like playing with 50 year old sweating dynamite, Anybody into explosives or mining will know what I am talking about. It can go off just by touching it. Can also give you a hell of a nitro headache!!

When the glycerin beads up on the solids, I've seen it. Thanks Rick.
