Need M37cdn site

Post by milstencil »

Guys,
Need a web site for the Canadian M37 that I can refer a customer to.
Any help would be appreciated.

This is probably the best site around. I dont think other than the 251 engine, ACME transmission, RH mirror and the convoy light, there was much difference. Oh, the Cdn version was not set up for a soft top. Many didnt have the slotted bracket on the windshield or the windshield hold downs on the hood.
Cheers

Randy,
I agree about this site :!: , but the guy is looking for Canadian
markings for his M37 and I don't have any reference for these.

Rick,

I did a Google search on "Canadian Military Vehicle Markings" and came up with a whole bunch of web sites. Most covered the WWII era, and here are a couple of good ones:

www.milfax2003.tripod.com

www.bcoy1cpb.pacdet.net

I hope these give you the info you need.

Hey Rick,
Sorry about that. Lifer has pointed you in the right direction. The bottom link he posted is for Colin Stevenson in Vancouver BC. It would be worth an email to him about markings.
You may also want to enquire on the MapleLeaf Up forum. It is primarliy WW2 Cdn vehicles but there are some M37 buffs there as well. One fellow in Edmontopn posted pics of his camo painted M37.

I will forward this post to him.
I was at a loss for info, tried to remember the maple leaf up site, but age is taking its toll.
