Wanted: Axe for R2 Crash Truck

Post by w30bob »

Hi guys,

I've got a friend who's just about done with his R2 restoration. He asked me to help him find the special axe for the R2. If anyone has any leads can you please let me know?

Thanks,
Bob

I always thought it was a Pulaski. Is it something different?

Hi just,

It may have been made by them, but it's different from what I see when I google "Polaski" in that there are two strips of steel welded to the sides of the head to stop the blade from penetrating too deep into the skin of an airplane. My friend also said the handle is made of some type of hard, non-conductive rubber, not wood. I'll see if I can find a pic.

Thanks,
Bob
