Hi Guys,
I've got a channel on my DISH satellite called WHAG out of Hagerstown, MD......out by the West Virginia border.........that shows the old black and white TV series "Combat!" with Vic Morrow. It comes on at 3:00am, so I've been DVRing the shows to watch when I get some time. I remember the show as a kid, but forgot what it was really all about. I've watched a few episodes now and was gladly surprised when I saw they were using M37's! The show was made in the early 60's, and is definitely NOT politically correct......but it's a HOOT to watch. In some episodes the M37 is an American WWII truck, in others it's a German vehicle. I forgot how good those old black and white TV shows were. Little did I know years ago when I first watched the show that someday in my future I'd be considering the star of the show to be the truck, and not the actors! Good fun!
regards,
bob

War soaps. It is on here at 10pm. Watched it as a kid when it was first run. Whole different level watching it now.

Yeah, we get it overnight here in Utah too, back to back with "The Rat Patrol". I remembered the RP as a kid, but not Combat.

Yes I remember watching combat as a kid. Not very historically accurate LOL. I remember one episode where Lil John yells "Lookout! Messerschmitt!" and the stock airplane footage was a P51! It also cracked me up that the squad was always walking so close together, a single MG42 would have wiped them out in the real deal. Several episodes with bad editing as well, the same soldier getting shot more than once...
Of course we wont mention "12 O'clock High" where the B17 cockpits appeared to be 10 feet wide
I believe some M37's turned up on Hogan's Heroes as well as German trucks.

What was that North Africa WWII movie where the Germans all had Sherman tanks and M37 trucks?
