washed the truck and noticed some bubbling around the plugs.... more torque made it worse. plugs have few miles but have been removed a few times.

when I went to my local parts store and asked if they had any spark plug compression rings the guy looked at me sideways. I said: "you know the little washer on a spark plug that seals to the head?" of course I was met with: buy new plugs..... :| "got anything like this?" I asked as I produced a plug.... no didn't think so.........

can someone send me 6 or a dozen compression rings for the stock spark plugs. hate to buy plugs I don't need just to take the ring. the old timers tell me they were once available in bulk.

I have paypall

cheers
Robyn

Robyn,

If no one on here has them then good luck finding them in any auto parts store. Welcome to our Throw-Away world. The cheapest alternative is to buy some cheap lawnmower plugs when they go on sale for a buck or two and stealing the crush washers off them. They come in different sizes, so bring one of our plugs to make sure you get the right size. Walmart around here sells them for a buck something in the Spring.

regards,
bob

I know they sell copper sealing washers for indexing plugs. Not sure of the cost, but that may work for you. Heck, indexing the plugs could be worth .00001 HP :).

Jegs/Summit. Replacement/Indexing washers are commonly available and inexpensive.

Looks like dead soft copper washers 14mm, various thickness. A wholesale hardware supplier could also source these if you want standard thickness.
