Almost any color would be better than silver. at least in my opinion.

you have to remember that silver is historically correct

but if I wanted a correct truck I would be about 10 to 15 K in debt already

I got my valve seats ground

tried to install my new cam and the hub on the cam is 1 1/8
my old one is 1 1/16 so the keyed triangular piece that the cam gear bolts to doesn't fit
I'm at a stand still right now :(
but I'm going to pull the front cover off my extra engine and see if I might have one
other wise I'm going order one on Monday
if vpw doesn't have one ill have to have to have mine machined out
Thanks,TRAVIS

Travis,

So why do you have a 1 1/16" diameter cam hub? What is the remedy?

cam is in
6 valves are in
freeze plugs in

Is it a gear type pump driven by the distributor? If it is open up the pump and put some assemble grease in there where the gears are. That way it'll have some suction and draw in the oil.
