Lights Installed in Shop, Finally
My friend Matt put up 6 High Bay Industrial 6 tube 4' long Cooper Industrial Luminaires last Sunday along with connecting the 8 outlets that are spaced around the shop. He had previously bent and run all the 1" conduit and with my help pulled/pushed the wires so that powering everything was just a matter of wire nutting everything together. He also ran power to my exhaust fan and connected the stick arc as well as my wire feed welders. Sure is nice to have everything working and with the new high intensity light fixtures I am able to see what I am doing, day or night, shop is almost as bright as day. Could not be happier.
Next project is to put in a generator disconnect switch and allow me to have house power for the well pump, refrigerator, freezer and some lights the next time Mr. Amps N. Watts takes a vacation.

Reading Mr. Amps N. Watts reminded me of the old REDDY KILOWATT animated figure from grade school era.
Now you need to post a night picture of the shop with the door open. Don't forget your sun glasses.

Re: Lights Installed in Shop, Finally
Well Bert I actually did think of old Ready K. but thought that reference might be lost on some newer members of the G741 forum so I made up Mr. Watts.
I will get some night shots tomorrow, was just out there putting the car away and realized I had forgotten the camera and my phone so no pix tonight.

Thats sounds like an awesome shop Carter, add some caches of beer and Doritos and you may never have to go back in the house again Looking forward to seeing those night shots.

Re: Lights Installed in Shop, Finally
I need to get a small refrigerator for my beer but a small igloo ice chest has worked OK so far. My hands are usually dirty while working so munching snacks is a in the house thing but I do have running water in the shop and getting clean is not a problem but while engaged in some project I am to much "in the moment" and eating is not something I do not think about but having a beer is another story.
Pix coming tonight.

I have a flashlight and outside. But it doesn't snow and it rarely rains. Trade-offs.

Re: Lights Installed in Shop, Finally
Gary, I hope you do not have to wait as long as I did in order to get something like what you see pictured above, over 50 years.
Just, I know what you mean, I used to own a landscaping company and did all my maintenance work outside. Once out in a field where it died I tented a IHC dump truck so I could do an engine rebuild job during several days of heavy rain. No electricity, just flashlight illumination. Nasty working conditions but had no choice.
