Ran errands a couple of times this past week. One teen-aged boy fired this at me as I was entering the cab. I'm not too old to understand that it was indeed a positive remark, but how this lingo is formed I'll never know....

I feel your pain! Try that x100 for 180 days at a stretch. I often find myself feeling like I've landed on another planet when I'm working with my students. On the bright side, that's high praise!!! Heck, you pulled his attention away from his cellphone, WIN :).

Well it is Utah and not L.A. after all. People in Utah are more polite than other places I've been. :wink:

I think I would have replied "Yea, this is a real gone groovy ride kiddo...." LOL :lol:
I also am amazed he said "sir".
