Memorial Day Service. Deer Creek. Illinois.

It was truly a privilege attending the American Legion, Post 1276, Memorial Day Service.
Deer Creek Illinois opened their arms and hearts to the Powell’s and we feel like our Family has grown by an entire Community.
Small town Mid-Western hospitality is alive and well in Deer Creek. Our first contact was with Hiram Brownell, QM2 (SS) United States Submarine Service.
Our Military vehicle was not only welcomed but sat front & center tall and proud. After the ceremony our M-37 went back on active-duty. It was my pleasure to haul the Young Men of the “Midwest Central Young Marines” around the City Park where the event was held. You can tell by the smiles everyone enjoyed the ride. (The biggest kid was driving)
I could go on all day but will not. Enjoy the pictures and feel free to share.
